Pearls and rhinestones almost always work well together. And as many of you many know, I love the movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s and the fabulous wardrobe, designed by Hubert de Givenchy, of the Holly Golightly character. My favorite costume is the black dress and pearl necklace she wears in the film’s opening scene. So, it’s no surprise that I have a few looks that echo that sumptuous necklace.
Isn’t this a fabulous statement necklace? And this is so simple to create. Start with a pearl collar style necklace. This one is available on Chairish here.
Next pin any brooch that is large enough to fill the space. The first example below is well suited for this look as it fills the open space nicely and the commonality of the pearls between the necklace and the brooch works really well.
The next brooch I used is a gold star fish shape wrapped with rhinestones and a pearl. You may recognize this brooch from Part 1 of When Brooches & Necklaces Collide from Monday.
The next look is one that I have shared before and it is worth repeating and including in this series. Every time I wear this combination I get numerous compliments! People stop me on the street and and ask about this necklace! This is my replica of the famous Breakfast at Tiffany’s necklace!
I sure hope you may look at your brooches in a new way after all the fabulous ideas I shared with you this week. And you can always find lots of fabulous brooches in my online store here!
